PINTO BEANS 
1 lb. pinto beans
6 c. water
1 ham hock
1 onion, cut up
2 tsp. salt

Pick and wash pinto beans. Put first 5 ingredients together. Bring to a boil. Simmer until tender adding water as needed, or put in crock pot overnight. Add:

2 tbsp. Grandma's molasses
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tbsp. chili powder
Salt to taste
