PEAS AND CARROTS 
2 c. English peas, shelled
1 c. carrots, scraped and diced
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. summer savory herb
Pinch fresh mint, chopped
1/2 tsp. sugar

Try to cut the carrots the same size as the peas. I get English peas from Publix and shell them while watching the Frugal Gourmet. Of course Bugs Bunny is also good to watch while shelling.

Melt butter in skillet or stir-fry pan over medium heat. Add the carrots and cook 5 minutes and add sugar. Continue cooking until they start to soften then add the peas and herbs. Remove from heat when vegetables are tender-crisp.
