APPLE CRUMB PIE 
1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell
3 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
6 c. sliced apples (about 2 lbs.)
2/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. lemon juice

Mix sugar, flour and seasonings. Mix sliced apples with lemon juice while slicing to prevent discoloration. Add apples to mixture and mix well to coat apples. Pour into unbaked pie shell.

TOP WITH:

1/4 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Mix flour, sugar and nutmeg. Cut in butter as for pie crust until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples in pie shell. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes, then reduce heat temperature to 375 degrees and continue baking for 35 more minutes. This pie freezes well before baking too. Allow extra baking time when frozen.
