1 c. soft butter
1 c. white sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. oil
2 lg. beaten eggs
2 tsp. vanilla or almond or maple
4 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda

In a mixing bowl cream together the butter, sugar, powdered sugar, oil, eggs and vanilla. NOTE: By using extract other than vanilla the taste of the cookie will change to a almond flavor or maple flavor.

Add flour, salt, tartar, soda and mix well. With a small ice cream scoop put on pan, 3 by 6. Press them down with a glass that is dipped in sugar. Bake at 325 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes until lightly browned.

NOTE: With almond extract add 1 cup sliced almond to make almond cookies. For maple add walnuts or chopped peanuts. For vanilla add M & M's, it adds extra flavor.
