Still stirring! How long did this take everyone?

 Damian replies:
Lots of time spent stirring. At least 10 minutes. Probably depends on how hot low heat is but high will ruin it. Good luck!

My daughter & I were pretty excited to find this recipe, only to be disappointed in how time consuming this is. Even after switching the stirring over to an electric mixer. The directions aren't that clear as to how long your really stirring or even if you put the dry ingredients in the pot first then add milk? I put the milk in the pot to start warming it then the dry, I wasn't going to burn the sugar in the pan before putting in the milk

This is the best pudding I have ever had. Used 2 tbsp. cocoa, and my family loved it. Beats box mix any day.

I made this pudding for the first time tonight. My husband and I really liked it - very rich. Gonna try a little less sugar next time. I loved it with 1 1/2 tablespoons of cocoa.

Very good... Much better than I'd anticipated. I kept the measurements the same but added a tiny pinch of salt and about the same amount of cayenne pepper. I feel as though both rounded it the flavor considerably.

I doubled everything in the recipe except the milk and used it for a pie filling with coconut! Delicious!

Everyone loved it! I made two batches, one with two tbsp of cocoa since everyone's comments leaned that way, but my bunch prefers one heaping tbsp. :) I blended with crushed Oreos and am taking it for dessert at Thanksgiving:)

I've just made this and it's the best chocolate pudding I've ever had and I rate it 5 stars but I dont think one tbsp of cocoa is enough. It needs two.

I added two more tablespoons of cocoa, and I cooked in the microwave.

Excellent, I also added 1 tbsp of cocoa plus something we should always add to our desserts : pinch of salt, it really picks up the chocolate flavor.... Always add a pinch of salt to your desserts while cooking them.....

Just made this. Used 2 tbsp. cocoa, 3/4 cup sugar, 1 3/4 cup milk and 1/4 cup brewed strong coffee. Topped with canned whip cream. Delicious & very easy recipe.

I loved the pudding. Added an extra spoon full of cocoa, though. I modified it and put it on a graham cracker with marshmellow fluff to make a smore! Yum!

This is great! I did add an extra tablespoon of cocoa and added my own spin to it. I took about 1/4 cup of milk out and replaced it with a strong coffee and it made a great chocolate coffee pudding. I served it in fillo dough cups. Thanks!!

I am making the pudding and have never tried it before. But, I tried it from the stirring spoon and it is fabulous! It's cooling, and later it will be a surprise for my overworking mother. Thanks, Edna!

This was the best pudding I have ever tasted. It was fabulous, and the lack of ingredients was just what I was looking for. It was easy, fun, and good! It took a little time, stirring, but that doesn't matter. Hey Edna, do you have any cake recipes? Thanks.
