PINEAPPLE CHICKEN IN PATTY
SHELLS
 
1 (10 oz.) pkg. Pepperidge Farm patty shells
1 med. sized onion, chopped (1/2 c.)
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. orange juice
1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple in own juice
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
2 c. cubed, cooked chicken
1 (9 oz.) pkg. frozen pea pods
1/4 c. toasted slivered almonds

Bake patty shells following label directions. Saute onion in butter until tender, about 3 minutes. Add orange juice, brown sugar, pineapple and juice, cinnamon and cornstarch. Cook, stirring constantly over medium heat until thickened and smooth. Add chicken and pea pods; heat thoroughly. Spoon into patty shells. Garnish with almonds.
