MACARONI CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 or 2 cloves of garlic, minced
28 oz. canned crushed tomatoes
6 oz. canned tomato paste
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. basil
1/2 lb. elbow macaroni

Brown the ground beef in a large saucepan or deep skillet. Add the onion, green pepper, deep skillet. Add the onion, green pepper and garlic as the meat is browning. Add the tomatoes and tomato paste. Stir in the salt and basil. Reduce heat and simmer 25 to 30 minutes. Cook the macaroni according to the package directions. Pour the cooked pasta and sauce in alternate layers into large ovenproof casserole dish, stirring gently after each layer. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
