APPLE CRISP 
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 c. water
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
6 tart apples, sliced
3/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. butter

Combine 1/2 c. sugar, lemon juice, water and cinnamon in 8 x 8 x 2 inch baking pan. Slice apples into pan and mix. Blend remaining sugar, flour, salt, butter until crumbly. Spread over apples. Pat smooth. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes until apples are tender and crust nicely brown. 6 to 8 servings.
