APPLE CRISP 
4 c. sliced, peeled apples, about 4 medium
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. oats
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/3 c. butter or marg., softened

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease square pan, 8 x 8 x 2 inches. Put apple slices in pan. Mix remaining ingredients thouroughly. Sprinkle over apples. Bake 30 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown. Serve warm and with ice cream if desired.
