3 1/2-4 c. powdered sugar 2/3 c. sweetened condensed milk 1/2 tsp. peppermint, spearmint or wintergreen extract Mix sugar, milk and if desired, a few drops food coloring. Knead in extract and enough additional sugar to make a smooth creamy mixture. Shape into 1 inch balls. Place about 1 inch apart on wax paper covered cookie sheets. Flatten each ball with fork to 1/4 inch thickness. Let stand at room temperature until firm, about 1 hour. Store in tightly covered container. |
