JEANNE'S MICROWAVE BAKED APPLES 
4 medium baking apples, washed and cored
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 tbsp. butter
cinnamon, for sprinkling
sweet or sour cream

Place apples in a 2-quart dish. Place 1 tablespoon brown sugar and a large teaspoon butter inside each apple. Sprinkle with cinnamon.

Microwave on HIGH for 8 to 9 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm with cream.

Note: Check for doneness halfway through cooking time. Some apple varieties bake faster than others.
