GLAZED PORK CHOPS & APPLE BAKE
4-6 pork chops
Salt & pepper to taste
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 c. yellow mustard
1/2 c. water
3 apples, sliced (can be more)
1 c. chopped celery
2 tbsp. minced onion

Brown chops in skillet, season with salt and pepper. Remove from skillet. Combine brown sugar and mustard; add water and 1/2 of the mustard mixture to skillet, stirring well to loosen any bits of meat in pan. Combine apples, celery and onion in shallow baking dish. Pour liquid from pan over apples. Arrange chops on top of apple mixture. Cover and bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes. Spread remaining mustard over chops and bake, uncovered, 15 minutes longer or until tender.

This recipe turned out great! I cut it in half for two people and used splenda brown sugar so all in all in was pretty healthy and super delicious!

I've made this four times, each a little differently. Once as written. I have substituted apple juice or orange juice for the water. I also made one meal with a pork loin, glazing the loin first, but not adding the apples until the meat was about half cooked. Major kudos from guests and family every time.

AMAZING!!! This has to be the best pork recipe I have ever had, and I think it's one of the best meals I have ever cooked. I didn't have any celery, but I added a handful of dried cranberries with the apples. So delicious!
