RAISIN PUFF COOKIES 
1 1/2 cups butter
1 3/4 cups white sugar
3 eggs
1 1/4 tsp. vanilla
4 1/3 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Boil 2 cups raisins with 1 1/4 cups water until water is absorbed. Cool. Mix with above ingredients. Roll into balls, size of walnuts. Roll in white sugar.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes on greased cookie sheet. Makes 5 to 6 dozen cookies.
