NEVER FAIL PIE CRUST | |
4 c. flour 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 3/4 c. Crisco shortening 1 egg 1 tbsp. vinegar mixed with 1/2 c. water In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in shortening with pastry blender or fork. Add egg and vinegar-water to the mixture. Combine thoroughly. Chill 15 minutes. Makes enough for 2 double-crust pies. May be frozen. |
