ARMENIAN RICE 
1 med. onion, chopped
1 c. broken vermicelli
1/2 c. melted butter
2 c. uncooked rice
4 c. beef consomme

Saute onion and vermicelli in butter until onion is browned; stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to boil and boil 10 minutes. Lower heat and simmer 45 minutes or until done. Stir occasionally. Yield: 10 to 12 servings.
