DELICIOUS GREEN BEANS 
2 1/2 lb. fresh green beans
3 c. water
1 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
1/2 c. chopped onion
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. freshly ground pepper
1/2 tsp. dried whole basil
1 tsp. dried whole Italian seasoning
4 tbsp. olive oil
1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Wash and string beans and break in half. Combine beans and water in large saucepan. Bring to boil, cover and simmer 6-8 minutes, or until crisp-tender. Drain and set aside.

Saute mushrooms and next 7 ingredients in oil in Dutch oven. Stir in beans and cook until thoroughly heated. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired.
