MUFFINS THAT TASTE LIKE DONUTS 
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 c. oil
3/4 c. white sugar
1 egg
3/4 c. milk

TOPPING:

1/2 c. melted butter
3/4 c. white sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon.

In another bowl, combine oil, sugar, egg and milk; mix thoroughly. Add liquid to dry ingredients and stir only until combined. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Shake muffins out of pans immediately and while hot, dip in melted butter and roll in sugar/cinnamon. Yields: 12 large.

VARIATION: Fill tins half full of batter, then put 1 teaspoon jam over and top with remaining batter.
