AFTER CHURCH STEW 
1 1/2 lbs. lean stew meat
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. basil leaves
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 stalks celery, lengthwise
4 med. carrots
1 med. onion, more if you like
1 10 3/4 oz. condensed tomato soup
1/2 soup can of water
3 or 4 med. potatoes, pared

Place beef in 3 quart casserole, add salt, basil and pepper; top with celery, carrots, onions and combine soup and water pour over meat and vegetables. Cover, bake 300 degrees for 3 hours. Add potatoes and bake another 45 minutes.
