RED CABBAGE WITH APPLES 
2 tbsp. oil
2 tart apples
1/2 c. water
1 med. head red cabbage, cored & shredded
1 tsp. salt
4 whole cloves
1 tbsp. chopped onion
2 tbsp. cider vinegar
2 tbsp. honey
1/4 tsp. caraway seeds

Heat oil in large pan over medium heat. Saute onion. Add sliced apples, vinegar, water, honey and cabbage. Mix, season with salt. Add caraway seeds and cloves. Cover and simmer over low heat 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serves 5 or 6.
