BOSOM BREAD 
2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. dark molasses
1 tsp. ginger
1/8 tsp. allspice
1/8 tsp. cloves
2 c. sour milk
2 tsp. baking soda
4 c. flour

Mix brown sugar, eggs and molasses and beat well. Add ginger, allspice, and cloves to the flour. Dissolve soda in the sour milk. Add flour and milk alternately into the first mixture. Pour batter in 2 greased standard bread pans. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. (A firm noncrumbly texture.)
