DUTCH APPLE PIE 
1 qt. (about 1 1/2 lbs.) sliced apples
9-inch pie shell, uncooked
1 c. sugar
5 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. canned milk (must use canned milk)
1/4 c. water
2 tbsp. butter, melted
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Place sliced apples in unbaked pie shell. Mix together in small mixing bowl the 1 cup sugar, flour, salt, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, milk, water, and butter. Pour over apple slices.

Mix the 2 tablespoons sugar and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon and sprinkle over top of pie. Bake in 400 degree oven until apples are tender, about 55 minutes. Cool before serving. Makes 1 (9-inch) pie. 6 servings.
