NO-NONSENSE HEARTY MEAT-LOAF
1-1 1/2 lb lean or regular ground beef
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon A-1 steak sauce
3 tablespoons ketchup
2 slices white bread toasted and crumbled
1 medium onion, minced

Heat skillet over medium-high heat and add a little olive oil or vegetable oil, then the onions and salt. Fry the onions until they are golden and browned a little; not too brown.

There should be a little lighter colors mixed in with golden brown ones as well. Remove from heat and set onions aside in a large mixing bowl. Add meat, pepper, A-1 steak sauce, 1 egg, ketchup, breadcrumbs and mix to blend ingredients together.

Pat mixture gently into a glass pyrex baking pan. Turn the oven to 350F degrees.

Cook for about 45-60 mins or until done! This varies depending on the heat of your oven. A good thing to do is slice into it to see if the meat is cooked though to the middle.

Good luck and-eat hearty!!!!

Use for sandwiches, with spaghetti, or eat as is along with your dinner sides.

The best meatloaf ever, I've been making it for years! I make a glaze with brown sugar, ketchup and apple cider vinegar for it. Mmmmm mmm good.
