“SAVORY EGG STRATA” IS IN:

SAVORY EGG STRATA 
6 to 8 slices bread, toasted and crust trimmed
10 eggs
1 3/4 cups milk
salt and pepper, to taste
2 1/2 cups cooked sausage, ham or bacon, chopped
1 cup shredded Cheddar, Monterey Jack or American cheese

The night before, arrange toast slices in the bottom of a buttered 13x9-inch baking pan; set aside.

In a large bowl, beat together eggs, milk, salt and pepper; pour over toast. Sprinkle meat and cheese cheese over egg mixture. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours to overnight.

In the morning, let stand at room temperature for 15 to 20 minutes.

Uncover and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes, or until eggs are set and cheese is melted.
