GOURMET SOUP 
1 1/2 tsp. oregano, powdered preferred
2 c. chopped onion
4 lg. carrots, halved lengthwise, sliced thin crosswise
5 c. chicken broth
4 c. diced, cooked ham
4 c. (2 - 10 oz. pkgs.) frozen baby lima beans
1/2 c. thinly sliced scallion onions

Cook onions and carrots in 4 tablespoons butter over moderate heat. Stir until softened. Stir in broth, ham and lima beans. Add oregano, salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil and simmer 15 minutes. Puree 2 cups bean mixture. Add puree and scallion to kettle and stir well.
