THE BEST BLACKBERRY CAKE | |
3 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. allspice 1 tsp. nutmeg 1 c. butter 1 c. brown sugar 1 c. white sugar 3 eggs, one at a time 1/2 c. sour milk 1 tsp. baking soda 1 c. chopped nuts 2 c. whole berries (blackberry) Cream sugar and butter. Add eggs, one at a time. Mix all dry ingredients together and slowly add to butter alternating with sour milk. Fold in berries and nuts. Put in 2 (9") cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. |
