SAUERKRAUT CAKE | |
2 1/4 c. flour, sifted 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 c. cocoa 2/3 c. butter 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 3 eggs 1 c. water 3/4 c. well drained, chopped sauerkraut Mix together dry ingredients. Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add dry ingredients alternately with water, beating until smooth after each addition. Add sauerkraut and mix well. Pour into prepared 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake at 375 degrees for about 35 minutes. Cool and frost with any desired frosting. |
