OATMEAL COOKIES 
3/4 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 c. oatmeal

OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS:

1/2 c. nuts
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. coconut
1 (7 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 c. raisins

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream together butter, sugars, and eggs. Add remaining ingredients in the order given and any optional ingredients desired, if any. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Flatten slightly with a fork. Bake approximately 12 minutes. Cool on wire racks.

Yield: Approximately 5 dozen before adding optional ingredients.
