1 3/4 c. boiling water
1 c. oatmeal (quick oats)
1 c. light packed brown sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1 stick butter
2 lg. or 3 sm. eggs
1 3/4 c. unsifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. cocoa
12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
3/4 c. walnuts

Pour boiling water over oatmeal and let stand 10 minutes. Add butter and sugars and stir until butter melts. Add eggs and mix well. Add flour, salt, soda, cocoa to mixture and mix well. Add 1/2 package of chocolate chips and pour into greased and floured 9"x13" pan. Sprinkle walnuts and remaining chips on top. Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
