SWEET HAM STEAK | |
2 smoke-cooked ham steak slices a drizzle of molasses 3 tbsp. coconut oil freshly ground pepper, to taste chopped parsley, for garnish MARINADE: 1 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup sake (Japanese wine) Mix sugar and Sake to make a marinade. Place marinade and steaks in a large Ziploc style bag to coat. Place ham steaks in fry pan with three tablespoons coconut oil (or you may grill them). Set temperature to low medium, drizzle molasses over steaks. Heat about 15 minutes, turning once. Serve warm with sprinkles of ground pepper and fresh parsley. Goes well with mashed sweet potatoes.
