BEEF SUPPER SANDWICHES | |
1 loaf French bread 1 lb. ground beef 1 egg 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese 1/2 c. chopped Spanish olives 1/2 c. chopped onions 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1/2 tsp. each salt, pepper, thyme 3 slices Cheddar cheese Cut off top of loaf of bread - discard. Scoop out white part of remaining bread and crumble. Mix all ingredients except slices of Cheddar cheese. Put back into shell, wrap in foil. Put on cookie sheet. Bake 1 hour, 350 degrees. Open foil - put sliced cheese on top. Put back in oven for 5 minutes until cheese has melted. |
