GROUND BEEF, CORN AND TOMATO PIE 
2 tbsp. fat
1 clove garlic, minced
1 onion, chopped
1 lb. ground beef
2 c. canned tomatoes
2 c. canned corn
4 tbsp. butter
5 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. paprika
Pie crust

Melt fat and saute garlic and onion; stir in ground meat and brown. Add tomatoes and corn. Melt butter; stir in flour. Add these ingredients to the meat mixture; stir and cook until boiling. Season with sugar, chili powder, salt and paprika.

Place in a greased, oven-proof dish. Top with pie crust, biscuits or slices of buttered bread. Place in a hot oven at 425 degrees until the top is done, about 20 minutes. Yield 6 servings.
