APPLE PECAN BREAD 
1/2 c. soft butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 c. chopped apples
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
8 to 10 maraschino cherries, chopped (optional)

Cream butter and sugar, add eggs, one at a time. Add flour, cinnamon, and buttermilk. Stir in apples, pecans and vanilla. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Grease and flour loaf pan.
