CZECHOSLOVAKIAN COOKIES 
1/2 lb. butter (no substitutions)
1 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
2 c. flour
1 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. strawberry jam

Cream butter, gradually; add sugar and cream until light and fluffy. Add egg yolks and blend well. Gradually add flour, mix thoroughly. Fold in nuts. Spoon 1/2 of butter into a greased 8 inch square pan and spread evenly. Top with jam. Cover with remaining batter. Bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 1 hour or until lightly browned. Cool. Cut into small bars. Makes 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
