STRAWBERRIES AND CREAM "EASY"
TRIFLE
 
1 (14 oz.) condensed sweetened milk
1 1/2 c. cold water
1 (4 oz. serving size) instant vanilla pudding
2 c. heavy whipping cream, whipped
1 (12 oz.) pound cake, cut in squares
1 qt. fresh strawberries, sliced
1/2 c. strawberry preserve

Combine sweetened condensed milk and water in a large bowl. Add pudding mix and beat well. Chill 5 minutes. Fold in whipped cream. Spoon 2 cups pudding mix in a 4 quart high glass bowl; top with half each of cake cubes, strawberries, preserve and remaining pudding. Repeat layering, ending with pudding. Garnish with additional strawberries. Chill thoroughly. Refrigerate leftovers.

NOTE:

1. Any fresh or frozen berry may be substituted for strawberries.

2. Cake cubes can be sprinkled with a flavoring such as vanilla, or an orange liqueur.
