MOOSE'S BARBECUE SAUCE 
1 sm. to med. onion, chopped fine
1 (32 oz.) keg of Heinz catsup
1 (3 oz.) bottle Texas Pete
16 oz. vinegar
Red pepper
1 jar blackberry jelly
1 stick butter

Saute onion in butter; add catsup, Texas Pete, vinegar, and red pepper. Stir well as ingredients are added. Simmer 10-15 minutes, slowly add blackberry jelly while stirring. Remove from heat when all of the jelly has mixed in.

Great with pork or chicken; add to meat only during the last 5-10 minutes. Watch carefully (the jelly burns). Serve extra at table. Stores well in refrigerator.
