CRISPY SUGAR COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 c. butter (a must)
1 tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla or almond
2 1/2 c. flour, more or less

Cream powdered sugar and butter; add eggs and flavoring. Add soda and cream of tartar to flour; mix. Chill well.

Roll out very thin; cut and bake at 350 degrees until light brown. Watch real close. Sprinkle with colored sugar.
