BAKED PUDDING 
SYRUP:

1 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
2 c. lukewarm water
1 tbsp. butter

Mix well and boil for 5 minutes.

BATTER:

2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 c. milk
1 c. flour, sifted
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. raisins
1/4 c. nuts, chopped

Cream together butter and sugar. Add remaining ingredients. Grease casserole. Pour in syrup first, then add batter. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour at 350 degrees.
