BAKED PEACH PUDDING 
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
4 tbsp. softened butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder

TOPPING:

3/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
3/4 c. boiling water
1 (32 oz.) can peaches

Place drained peaches in shallow casserole dish. Combine sugar and butter and salt. Mix well. Add other dry ingredients alternating with milk. Spread over fruit. Mix other 3/4 cup sugar and cornstarch, sift over batter. Pour 3/4 cup boiling water over all. Bake at 325 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes.
