HOBO BREAD 
2 c. raisins
2 c. boiling water
4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. salad oil
1 1/2 c. sugar
pinch of salt
2 eggs, well beaten
4 c. flour
1 c. black walnuts

Combine water, raisins and soda. Put in refrigerator overnight. Next day, add other ingredients.

Grease three 1-pound coffee cans well.

Bake at 350°F for 60 minutes. Cool on rack. Remove bread when cold. Wash cans thoroughly. Put back into cans and store for a week in refrigerator.
