JEFF'S FAVORITE BREAD AND BUTTER
PICKLES
 
6-8 lbs. cucumbers

Slice cucumbers and soak in salt water 3-4 hours. Drain well.

6 c. vinegar (5% acid)
6 c. sugar
4 lg. onions
1 tbsp. mustard seed
1 tbsp. celery seed
1 tsp. turmeric

Combine vinegar, sugar, spices, and onions in a large pan. Let come to a boil. Add pickles and simmer until they turn color. Put in hot jars and hot seals. Makes approximately 6-9 pints.
