BEETS WITH PINEAPPLE 
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 (8 3/4 oz.) can pineapple tidbits
1 (1 lb.) can sliced beets

Combine brown sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Stir in pineapple with syrup and cook, stirring constantly until thick. Add butter, lemon juice and beets and cook 5 minutes over medium heat. Serves 4 or 5.
