BEETS WITH PINEAPPLE | |
2 tbsp. brown sugar 1 tbsp. cornstarch 1/4 tsp. salt 8 3/4 oz. can pineapple tidbits (1 c.) 1 tbsp. butter 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1 lb. can sliced beets Combine sugar, cornstarch, salt in saucepan. Stir in pineapple (with juice). Cook, stirring constantly till mixture thickens and bubbles. Add butter, lemon juice and beets. Cook over medium heat about 5 minutes or till hot. Serves 4. I won $100 for this recipe. |
