PINEAPPLE BEETS 
6 to 8 fresh beets, cooked, peeled and diced, or canned
1/2 c. crushed pineapple
1 c. pineapple juice
1/2 c. cider vinegar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. butter

Make syrup of first 5 ingredients in heavy saucepan until clear. Add drained beets and pineapple.
