JEWISH APPLE CAKE 
5 apples, sliced
1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. flour
2 1/4 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. oil
7 tbsp. orange juice
2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking powder

Mix first 3 ingredients and set aside. Mix all other ingredients until smooth. Grease tube pan. Put in a little batter and alternate apples and batter, end with batter. Bake 1 hour and 30 minutes (cover with sheet of foil last half hour).
