JEWISH APPLE CAKE 
5-6 apples, sliced thimble size
2 tsp. cinnamon
5 tbsp. sugar

Mix together and set aside.

CAKE:

2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1 c. vegetable oil
4 eggs
1/4 c. orange juice
3 tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt

Mix together cake ingredients until smooth. Grease a tube pan well. Pour 1/2 the cake batter in the pan. Arrange half the apple mixture over it. Pour the remaining batter over the apples and top with the rest of apple mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Cake should be golden brown.
