JEWISH APPLE CAKE 
3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 c. salad oil
2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
1/2 c. orange juice
5 to 6 apples, sliced
2 tsp. cinnamon
5 tbsp. sugar

Mix first seven ingredients in mixer. Put 1/2 of the batter in a greased 10 inch tube pan. Put 1/2 the apples on top of the batter. Sprinkle with 1/2 the sugar/cinnamon mixture. Add rest of batter and remainder of apples. Top with rest of cinnamon/sugar. Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Let stand 1 hour in pan before removing.
