JEWISH APPLE CAKE | |
3 c. flour 2 c. sugar 3 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 3 lg. apples, peeled and sliced 1 c. Wesson oil 4 eggs 1/2 c. orange juice 2 1/2 tsp. vanilla Grease and flour tube pan. Beat all ingredients together until smooth. Pour half of batter in pan. Lay half of apples on top; sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Pour on rest of batter; top with remaining apples. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or until well done. |
