JUST PERFECT JEWISH APPLE CAKE 
5 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. cinnamon
3 lbs. apples, peeled and sliced
1/4 c. orange juice
2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sugar
1 c. oil
4 eggs
3 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder

Combine sugar, cinnamon and apples - set aside.

Cream sugar with oil; add eggs and mix well. Gradually add flour, baking powder and alternate with juice and vanilla.

Grease 9 or 10 inch tube pan. Pour 1/3 of the batter into pan. Cover with 1/2 apples. Repeat until batter is gone. Bake 350 for 1 hour or until done.
