Pour 1 1/3 cups boiling water over 1 cup oats. Set aside to cool. Cream together: 1 c. sugar 1 c. brown sugar 2 eggs Oatmeal mixture Sift together: 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. salt Add both dry and cream mixtures together. Pour in a cake pan and bake for 35 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Pour topping over cake and brown lightly under broiler until bubbly. OATMEAL CAKE TOPPING: 1/2 c. brown sugar 6 tsp. butter 1/4 c. condensed cream Melt together in a saucepan. Then add: 1 c. coconut 1 c. nuts | |
