 Megan says:
I exclude the hershey bar and half this recipe and then fill a 9x13 pan.

This is the recipe I've been using since I was 16 and everyone LOVES them. But my recipe uses 7 oz. of grated chocolate bar. This makes a ton of cookies so if you want, halve the recipe for a more resonable amount.

 Relina (Georgia) says:
Instead of the chocolate chips and bar I added 2 tsp cinnamon 1 more cup of unblended oatmeal and 1 cup of rasins for oatmeal rasin cookies.

Also, you can add about 3 cups chopped nuts (any kind). This is a family favorite.

This is my all time favorite cookie recipe. This is a no fail recipe and I add a bag of butterscotch chips.

I have this exact recipe almost, only form into golf ball size, 375°F for 6 minutes, 3 cups of chopped nuts. Makes a ton of cookies so I cut it in half. The oatmeal is put into a blender, ground into a powder.

Everyone loves this recipe. I don't put quite as many chocolate chips in (16 oz.) but I add 2 cups of nuts and a bag of Heath crunch bits, if I can find them. Sometimes (and often) I don't take the time to pulverize the oatmeal. Still delicious and moist!
